LONDON (JT News) – British tennis star Johanna Conta has said she will represent England in the inaugural Palermo Open tennis tournament when the WTA Tour resumes in August. The Wimbledon Open champion Simona Halep competed at the Palermo Ladies Open this year. The clay court tournament, which starts in Italy on August 3, marks the return of top-level tennis after professional tennis events were suspended in March this year.

Five of the world’s top 20 tennis players will take part in the WTA Palermo Tennis Tournament. Johanna Conta played her last match at the Monterey Open tennis tournament in March this year, in which she lost in the semifinals to Marie Bozkova of the Czech Republic. Has not participated in the Domestic Progress Tour Women’s Tennis Championships.
